Tehran University social work student, Pakhsan Azizi is at grave risk after being held incommunicado for over 90 days.

RAHANA – The 24-year-old Mahabad native, Pakhshan Azizi has been detained in ward 209 of Evin since her arrest more than 90 days ago, and her life is reportedly at risk.
According to Kurdish Media, over the past few days the other students with Azizi, have been released from Evin. Sarveh Visi and Layla Mohammadi, cellmates of Azizi, both had torture marks upon their release and were mentally affected by their treatment in prison. This has led to serious concerns over the fate of Azizi who remains in jail.
Azizi’s family and her lawyer have not been allowed to visit her in prison and Iranian intelligence authorities refuse to release information related to the case against the young Kurdish student.
Pakhshan Azizi was arrested on November 16th 2009, after a protest held by Kurdish Tehran University students following the execution of Ehsan Fattahian in Kurdistan.
